The Ministry of Sport and Community Development is dedicated to fostering excellence in sport while building stronger, more cohesive communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago. We serve as the primary government agency responsible for developing, promoting, and supporting sports at all levels—from grassroots community programmes to elite international competition.
Our department plays a crucial role in serving the public by creating opportunities for citizens to participate in sports and recreational activities, while simultaneously building the infrastructure and programmes necessary to support athletic excellence and community development. We work to ensure that every citizen has access to quality sports facilities, programmes, and opportunities that promote health, wellness, and national pride.
